London portfolio visit two
London portfolio visit two
Nexus
My second visit in London was
nexus it was me and jack, I have to say this was my favorite place of the 2
portfolio visits I when on
We was originally only going to
be in there for 30 minutes but we manages to be in there for an hour and a
half
first of all when me and jack was
talking about are work they were very nice and gave us some good feed back I
was explaining my idea to them and shown them some of my test of my fmp and one
of them gave me a link to a music video which was very use full and it has
helped me to change my style of my city and made it much easier to create, so
instead of creating 3d buildings in maya and spending a lot of time with 3d
texture I am going to try flat images in photo shop
1.40 in the video
one of the other nice thing about
nexse is that that they tuck us around the studio and they introduced me to a guy called Le Fevre he is a BAFTA and British Animation Award winning filmmaker,
he was a really nice guy and was interested with a variety of technique he
has a blog, one of the pages is about phonoscope and we talked for a
while about mine the one I made in 2nd year

Blac Ionica
Blac
Ionica
One
of the nice things I found about blac ionica is that that they told some of
there story’s, about how in some of the animations and videos they made, they made
some stupid mistakes like things accidently being the wrong size or the
wrong color after a day of shooting, and they told us that stuff like this will
happen despite how careful you are, and the majority of the time it is fixable
in the editing proses.
Blac
ionica like most other companies started from nothing and moved from place to
place until they found a nice place in London but they kept saying to get the
word out and to get more well know in the industry socialising is the key.
